Abstract: This paper makes a comprehensive analysis on the relationship between electricity and economy in Henan Province from 2010 to 2016, and studies the variation characteristics of electricity structure and economic structure, the variation law of electricity intensity, with focus on the relationship between the development of high energy-consuming industries and electric economy. The key factors that influence the power consumption and GDP growth are identified. The research findings are helpful to find the positive changes brought by the economic structure adjustment, and also have a guiding significance for understanding about the periodic phenomenon of the large growth difference between electricity consumption and GDP.
